During this course our Opus IVS Master Technicians will guide you through how and where an Oscilloscope fits into your diagnostic strategy, whilst showing you all the essential steps you will need to get up and running in your workshop!

The team will walk you through getting started with diagnosing common issues, ensuring that you leave with the confidence to use the diagnostic power of a PicoScope!

This course will cover

  • Basic introduction to the PicoScope and its equipment
  • Why & where to use a PicoScope
  • How to set up PicoScope and PicoScope 7 software
  • How to use Pico’s waveform library for referencing
  • Understanding PicoScope and understanding information from various sensors
  • Real life case studies from the technical teams

LEVEL 2 Hybrid/Electric Vehicle Repair & Maintenance

Qualification: This Level 2 course will end with an online test which when successfully completed will give an IMI certified qualification.

This course will cover

  • How to work safely on hybrid and related vehicle systems
  • The correct method of shutting down and isolating high voltage systems

The layout and construction of hybrid and electric drive powertrain systems, and the identification of key components
The principles of high voltage battery construction, management and monitoring systems.

LEVEL 3 Hybrid/Electric Vehicle Repair

Qualification: This level 3 course will give the technician the ability to make the vehicle safe to work on and also replace high voltage components, which now covers components such as air conditioning compressors and heating system components.

 

This course will cover

  • How to work safely on the high voltage system
  • Replacing of high voltage components

Upon completion of the course, delegates will be provided with their IMI certified qualification, meaning that they are now proficiently skilled to replace high voltage components.


This is available to anyone holding an IMI level 2 qualification

VAG Latest Diesel Technology

During this presentation our VAG master technicians will go through the latest and last VAG diesel engine systems and will give an overview and diagnostic procedures for the following systems.

 

This day will consist of 50% hands on and 50% theory

This course will cover

  • Low pressure fuel system
  • High pressure fuel system
  • Exhaust gas recirculation
  • Turbocharger
  • Diesel particulate filter
  • Selective catalyst reduction

The day will consist of around 50% hands-on training, using various methods for diagnosing the systems listed above and working through their common faults.

MINI Central Body Electronics ZKE F5x

During this presentation our BMW master technicians will guide you through operation and diagnosing ZKE systems installed on the MINI models.

 

This course will cover

  • Wash/wipe.
  • Central locking.

  • Power windows and mirrors.
  • Tilt/slide sunroof.
  • Exterior lighting.

PSA Adblue Technology

The aim of this course is to help technicians through understanding the PSA AdBlue Technology and how some of these systems work and how to diagnose systems and faults on EURO 6 using Diagnostic tools and mechanical aids.

Our master technicians will take you through the following PSA AdBlue systems and diagnosis procedures and common faults.

This course will cover

  • Identifying the AdBlue system from the Eloys additive system
  • AdBlue Components and system operation
  • How the AdBlue system reduces NOX emissions
  • Components on CAN emissions network, Inc oscilloscope patterns and testing
  • Service Actions Topping Up AdBlue Fluid
  • Recommended tools and procedures for effective diagnostic ofAdBlue system.
  • Fault Diagnosis and Common Issues

Land Rover Suspension Systems

The aim of this course is to help technicians through the understanding of Land Rover suspension systems, the changes to the technology, how some of these complex systems work and how to diagnose systems and faults on the various systems fitted, Using methods I.E. Multi meter, Oscilloscope, Diagnostic tools, and mechanical aids.

Our Land Rover master technicians will take you through the following steps on these systems. Description and operation, Common issues and the diagnostic and calibration process.
